DEIF GPU-2-GS is a multi-functional protection and parallel control unit designed for generating sets. It is developed by DEIF (the world’s leading provider of power management solutions). It is mainly used in Marine, industrial standby power, off-grid power stations and other scenarios to realize the safety protection of generating sets and the parallel operation control of multiple machines.

I. Core functions

Generator protection function

Electrical parameter monitoring: real-time monitoring of voltage, frequency, current, power, etc., support three-phase imbalance, reverse power, overload, short circuit and other protection.

Fault protection action: when abnormal (such as overvoltage, underfrequency, reverse power) is detected, the alarm or trip is automatically triggered to protect the generator from damage.

Programmable protection logic: The user can customize the protection threshold, delay time and action type (such as graded alarm or direct shutdown) through the software.

Parallel control (synchronization and load distribution)

Automatic synchronization: when multiple generators are connected in parallel, the voltage, frequency and phase of the machine to be connected are automatically adjusted to achieve no impact on the grid.

Load distribution: dynamic distribution of active/reactive power load between each generator to ensure balanced operation and avoid single machine overload.

Droop control: Support Frequency Droop and Voltage Droop mode, suitable for off-grid microgrid system.

Communication and integration

Communication interface: support CAN bus, Modbus RTU/TCP, can access the host computer monitoring system (such as ship integration platform or SCADA).

Remote monitoring: real-time view of running status, alarm records and historical data through DEIF Multi-Line Display or third-party software.

Human-computer interaction

Local operation panel: equipped with keys and display screen, supporting parameter setting, manual synchronization, load switching and other operations.

Multi-language support: the interface is optional in Chinese, simplifying the operation process.
